45-year-old West Bend man, Steven J. Weis, is facing 47 felony charges related
to allegedly exposing himself to a child and capturing unlawful images on a
hidden camera mounted underneath a bathroom sink at Froedtert West Bend
Hospital in the Town of Polk. Weis, a health support staff employee, admitted
placing the camera inside the same bathroom for several months and saving some
of the captured footage. The charges involving children date back to November
2022. Weis made an initial appearance and is now slated to appear before
Washington County Judge Ryan Hetzel on July 31, 2023. The case came to light on
July 14, 2023, after investigators with the City of West Bend Police Department
uncovered information during an unrelated investigation. The suspect was
convicted of a felony and set a $50,000 bond. The judge gave the state more
time to file formal criminal charges, as it is a felony to capture an image
